Job Summary

Result‑oriented Software Engineering professional with strong experience in designing, developing, and enhancing high‑performance, enterprise‑scale applications to drive business efficiency and customer outcomes at Optum. Proficient in Big Data technologies such as HBase, Hive, Airflow, and Oozie, with hands‑on expertise in Python, PySpark, Java, Unix, and Azure Cloud. Adept at translating complex healthcare business requirements into scalable technical solutions using Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. Proven ability to collaborate across architecture, product, and engineering teams to deliver secure, compliant, and high‑quality software while continuously driving process improvements, automation, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and enhance proprietary Optum applications to improve user efficiency and business performance.

Translate healthcare business requirements into clear technical user stories using Agile methodologies.

Deliver high‑performance application enhancements aligned with customer and business objectives.

Schedule and manage batch and data processing jobs using Oozie, Airflow, or equivalent schedulers.

Track and deliver features and user stories within sprint timelines, meeting defined acceptance criteria.

Ensure smooth production deployments, including smoke testing and post‑deployment stability.

Collaborate with architects, product owners, and stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and optimal solutions.

Support production issues, drive continuous improvements, automation, and ensure adherence to SDLC, security, and engineering best practices.

Skill Requirements

Big data technologies (HBASE, HIVE, Airflow, Oozie), Python, PySpark,Azure Cloud, Unix, Java, CI/CD
