Job Summary

Job Description for Sr. Polarion Developer

Roles & Responsibility:

Candidate should be able to handle and manage following task independently for (Siemens) Polarion ALM. The requirement is for a Senior Polarion Developer to support the ongoing and upcoming needs of the Grid Code project hosted on Polarion ALM platform.

This role is critical for driving development, maintenance, and integration activities, along with advancing AI-driven capabilities using Microsoft Copilot and LLMs within Grid Code project. The resource will also support both OOTB and custom integrations, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.

 

Key Expectations as Polarion ALM Developer:

  1. Development and enhancement of Grid Code reports using Velocity and Java
  2. Maintenance and optimization of existing reports, data structures, and workflows
  3. Implementation of AI/LLM-based automation and analytics capabilities
  4. Handling OOTB and custom integration requirements across the ecosystem

 

Required Expertise:

  1. Strong experience with Polarion APIs (Open API, REST, SOAP, Render API)
  2. Proficiency in Velocity scripting, Java Servlets, and OSGi plugins
  3. Solid understanding of Polarion’s SVN repository and PostgreSQL database.
  4. Experience with AI integrations (e.g., Microsoft Copilot)
  5. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for UI/dashboard enhancements
  6. Experience on RHEL based environments
  7. Knowledge of DevOps practices and system optimization

 

This role will be instrumental in ensuring the scalability, performance, and future readiness of our Grid Code implementation. 

 

 

 

 

General skills requirements:

  1. Ability to define and manage access management
  2. Server Handling: Server (Linux, Apache) including logs, upgrade, capacity enhancement etc. 
  3. Good understanding of requirement, defect, task management, workflow etc. 
  4. Ability to explore, suggest and implementation of new functionalities. 
  5. Ability to perform application training to end users
  6. Good communicator and collaborator - ability to communicate and manage multinational key users and having cultural sensitivity
  7. Attitude to learn, develop and deliver. 
  8. Manage incident & development. 
  9. Ability to coordinate with key users.

 

Qualification Requirements:

Education: Engineering Graduation 

Experience: 5-7 years of relevant development experience on Polarion ALM platform.
