Job Summary

Description
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to support SO&T’s strategic transformation. This role focuses on strengthening our digital logistics platform (VIPSwhMB), improving system robustness, and enabling integration with new distribution centers.


Person will join a Stable Agile Team, working in sprints and contributing directly to the evolution of VIPSwhMB global warehouse management systems on IBM iSeries.


Responsibilities
Develop and deploy warehouse applications on IBM iSeries (AS/400)
Ensure system stability, performance, and reliability
Design and implement new functionalities aligned with business needs
Support integration with operational processes 
Collaborate within a stable Agile team, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and daily ceremonies
Work in iterative development cycles (sprints) to deliver continuous improvements
Contribute to platform modernization and technical enhancements
Help reduce deployment and operational risks for new distribution centers


Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with:
RPG (ILE / Free format)
CL
SQL
DB2
REST


VS Code/RDI Tool
Turnover Tool


Experience working in IBM iSeries / AS400 environments
Experience working in Agile ways of working (Scrum or similar)
Good English communication skills (spoken and written)
Based in or willing to work from Wroclaw (on-site collaboration required)


Nice to Have
Experience with Power BI
Knowledge of warehouse management or supply chain processes
Experience working in distributed/global teams

Key Responsibilities

1. To be responsible for providing technical guidance / solutions ;define, advocate, and implement best practices and coding standards for the team.
2. To develop and guide the team members in enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity
3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
4. To prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
