Role Summary

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will design and build microservices and APIs, supporting the mission to make data findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable, and trustworthy (FAIR+). You will work in a cross-functional Agile team, contributing to both product development and operational support, while adhering to Ingka’s engineering, security, and collaboration standards.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices and APIs using Python or Go on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes for reliable, automated deployments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, embedding DevSecOps practices, security scans, and compliance checks.
• Develop responsive and accessible frontend applications using React and TypeScript, integrated seamlessly with backend services.
• Apply strong QA practices including automated testing, code reviews, and integrated test strategies.
• Support SRE-based operations including observability, monitoring, alerting, incident management, and post-mortems.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, refinement, demos, and retrospectives.

Ensure compliance with Ingka engineering baseline practices, including security, governance-by-design, and documentation standards

Skill Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in backend development using Python or Go.
• Hands-on expertise with GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of DevSecOps practices, Linux systems, and automation.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and responsive UI implementation.
• Experience with GitHub-based source control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, automated testing, and quality engineering.
• Familiarity with SRE principles, observability, and incident management.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in Agile teams.

Other Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data platforms, data governance, or enterprise-scale data solutions.
• Knowledge of security and privacy best practices, including threat modelling.
• Experience with cost optimisation and performance monitoring in cloud environments.
