Role Title: Business Analyst (PPM & Supply Chain Solutions) About the Role
We are looking for a collaborative, analytical, and business-focused Business Analyst to join our Product Portfolio Management (PPM) squad. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating strategic supply chain and portfolio management requirements into structured user stories, data pipelines, and scalable application features.
Working closely with product owners, business partners, and our Appian engineering team, you will champion requirements elicitation, analyze critical data flows, identify data gaps, and drive the seamless delivery of application enhancements and bug fixes.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Stakeholder Partnership & Requirements Elicitation:
- Act as the primary business-facing liaison to capture, refine, and document functional and technical requirements.
- Translate complex business problems into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flow diagrams, and functional specifications.
- Facilitate backlog refinement, story grooming, sprint planning, and user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions.
- Data Analysis & Data Pipeline Coordination:
- Analyze end-to-end data requirements across Product Portfolio Management and Supply Chain domains.
- Identify data gaps, quality issues, inconsistencies, and integration bottlenecks.
- Collaborate closely with enterprise data engineering and integration teams to design, modify, test, and monitor upstream/downstream data pipelines.
- Agile PPM Squad Delivery:
- Partner closely with Appian developers, QA engineers, and architects throughout the agile sprint cycle.
- Actively support the delivery, prioritization, and triage of enhancements, change requests, and production bugs.
- Clarify functional questions during development and validate deployed solutions against business criteria.
- Process & System Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate operational workflows and identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and optimize portfolio management and supply chain processes.
- Maintain up-to-date functional documentation, user guides, and training collateral for business users.
What We Are Looking For
- Business Analysis & Agile Delivery:
- 3–6+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Product Owner in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in gathering requirements, writing user stories with Gherkin/acceptance criteria, process modeling, and managing backlogs (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
- Domain & Data Expertise:
- Solid functional understanding of Supply Chain concepts (e.g., demand planning, inventory, logistics, procurement, product lifecycle/portfolio management).
- Strong hands-on data analysis capabilities, including SQL queries, Excel data modeling, and mapping data flow between enterprise systems.
- Experience working with ETL/ELT pipelines, data integration architectures, and cross-functional data teams.
- Platform Knowledge:
- Appian / Low-Code Platform Experience: Familiarity or prior experience working with Appian solutions, process workflows, records, and forms is a strong plus.
- Exposure to ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or enterprise PPM tools is an added advantage.
- Interpersonal & Analytical Skills:
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-facing presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguous business scenarios and synthesize clarity
