Job Summary
The Cerner Millennium EHR Solutions Analyst is responsible for the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of Cerner's Electronic Health Record (EHR) system within the organization. This role involves configuring, customizing, and providing ongoing support to the EHR system, ensuring its efficient operation, and leveraging Cerner solutions and modules to improve clinical workflows and patient care. Roles and Responsibilities: 1. System Implementation: Lead or assist in the implementation of the Cerner Millennium EHR system, including planning, system configuration, data migration, and user training. 2. Module Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth expertise in various Cerner solutions and at least 2-3 below modules: • PowerChart • CPOE (Computerized Physician Order Entry) • Cerner Ambulatory • Cerner FirstNet • Core • Security, ESH • Clinical Documentation • ePrescribe • PathNet (Laboratory) • RadNet (Radiology) • PharmNet (Pharmacy) • SurgiNet (Surgery) • ProFile (Revenue Cycle Management) • HIM • Clairvia • RevElate • Cerner RCM • CareAware/BMDI • FetaLink & Women's Health • CCL – Cerner Command Language Good to have • HL7 / FHIR Good to have 1. User Training: Develop and conduct training sessions for clinical staff and end-users to ensure the effective and compliant use of the EHR system. 2. System Configuration: Customize and configure the EHR system, including templates, forms, order sets, and user interfaces, to meet the organization's specific clinical workflow requirements. 3. Workflow Optimization: Collaborate with healthcare providers to analyze clinical workflows and identify areas for improvement. Implement best practices to streamline and enhance clinical processes using Cerner solutions. 4. Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain the data integrity within the EHR system, ensuring accurate data capture and adherence to clinical and regulatory standards. 5. Issue Resolution: Identify and troubleshoot complex issues related to the EHR system, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve problems and maintain system stability. 6. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, changes, and issue resolutions. Ensure that documentation is accessible for reference and audits. 7. Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports from the EHR system, analyze data to assess its performance, and provide recommendations for improvements. 8. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure that EHR system usage complies with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA, Meaningful Use (MIPS/MACRA), and other relevant regulations. 9. Project Management: Lead EHR-related projects, define project scopes, timelines, and budgets, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget while meeting the desired outcomes. 10. Expertise, Skills, and Experience Required: • Bachelor's degree in healthcare informatics, healthcare administration, or a related field. • Extensive experience working with Cerner EHR systems, including implementation and optimization. • Deep knowledge of Cerner solutions and modules, with expertise in various components. •
Key Responsibilities
2. To develop and guide the team members in enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity
3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
4. To prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
