Job Summary

Summary: The Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable IoT applications using Node.js (RED / Node‑RED) and TimescaleDB (PostgreSQL).

The role focuses on ingesting, processing, and storing time‑series data from IoT devices, building secure APIs, and supporting scalable, multi‑plant IoT deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop backend services for IoT applications using Node.js / Node‑RED.
• Design and optimize TimescaleDB schemas for high‑volume time‑series data.
• Ensure data integrity, performance, and efficient storage of IoT telemetry data.
• Support scalable architectures for single‑plant and multi‑plant IoT rollouts.
• Enable centralized database management and secure data access across sites.
• Implement security best practices for device authentication, API access, and data protection.
• Write clean, reusable, and testable code with proper logging and monitoring.

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience with Node.js / Node‑RED for backend and IoT workflows. [interviewguy.com]

• Solid SQL skills and database performance tuning experience.
• Experience building REST APIs and integrating IoT data pipelines.

 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

5–8+ years of backend / IoT development experience, preferably in industrial or data‑intensive environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. To be responsible for providing technical guidance / solutions ;define, advocate, and implement best practices and coding standards for the team.
2. To develop and guide the team members in enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity
3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
4. To prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
