Key Responsibilities
Minimum 11-13 years of experience working with SAP plant maintenance & customer service modules and industry Specific modules (ISU). Hands-on experience in functional design and configuration with SAP Enterprise Asset Management within the Utilities Industry environment (Electric & Gas). Core experience with designing and supporting work using Compatible Units for estimating material, labor, and tools for transmission/distribution construction. Troubleshooting how asset maintenance intersects with meter installations, replacements, removals, and periodic meter testing workflows. Handling utility service orders, field notifications, and managing the shift from legacy ECC-CS structures to S/4HANA Service or Asset Management. Supporting the critical link between spatial assets (poles, pipes, transformers) in GIS (e.g., Esri) and technical objects (Equipment/Functional Locations) in SAP Managing linear utility infrastructure (gas pipelines, transmission lines) using start/end points, markers, and offset configurations. Know how utility work orders flow through new 9-phase lifecycle for maintenance orders rather than custom ECC user statuses. Handson with traditional Plant Maintenance (PM) / Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and modern, intelligent asset management features. To provide support, should have Utilities Industry experience with EAM solutions including SAP, Compatible Units (CU), SAP Screen Personas Spatial Asset management, Asset performance management, Ventyx (Hitachi) etc. and Knowledge of Handheld Wireless Devices, RFID, ESRI Spatial solutions technologies. - Ability to debug ABAP code, track API calls flowing through.
- Need to have experience in Production Support utilizing ITIL practices for Incident, Change and Problem Management.
- Create utilities industry specific solution designs to plan define and execute complex, interdependent work.
- Extensive experience in implementation or support within the Utilities Industry environment.
- Strong customer service orientation; strong customer-facing and relationship building skills.
- Develop a strong working relationship with business partners to facilitate effective, end-to-end solutions for business processes.
- Experience with Detailed knowledge of IT principles, methods, and practices in the Utility area.
- Experience in integration of Utilities Industry with Asset Investment, EAM, Scheduling, Mobility, Graphical Work, and/or GIS applications.
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain application configuration parameters and system related documentation.
- Familiarity with Agile and all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience delivering technical documentation and procedures.
