Job Summary
ACD Developer
Role Overview
The ACD Developer will be responsible for analyzing, upgrading, refactoring, and validating all custom-developed components associated with the ACD platform during migration and upgrade activities.
Experience
- 6-10 years of software development experience
- 5+ years working with PTC ACD
- Strong Java development expertise
- Experience with APIs, integrations, and web services
- Experience supporting Windchill ecosystems
Key Responsibilities
Code Assessment
- Review existing customizations
- Analyze upgrade impacts
- Identify obsolete APIs
- Identify technical debt and remediation opportunities
Development Activities
- Refactor existing custom code
- Upgrade custom extensions
- Develop new required functionality
- Modify business logic as required
- Implement integration enhancements
Configuration & Packaging
- Build deployment packages
- Manage code promotion across environments
- Support CI/CD deployment activities
Testing Support
- Unit Testing
- Functional Testing
- Regression Testing
- Defect Resolution
- Performance Validation
Production Readiness
- Support cutover preparation
