Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated Techno-Functional Business Analyst with strong expertise in ETL systems and data engineering to bridge business requirements and technical delivery. The role requires deep collaboration with business stakeholders, data engineers, and delivery teams to ensure high-quality, scalable data solutions within the banking domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements related to data and ETL processes
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical design inputs
  • Work closely with data engineering teams to support ETL development, testing, and deployment
  • Perform data analysis and validation using SQL to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Support data quality initiatives, identify gaps, and propose improvements
  • Contribute to solution design discussions, ensuring alignment with architecture and business needs
  • Facilitate UAT, SIT, and defect triage, ensuring timely resolution
  • Create and maintain documentation (BRD, FRD, data mappings, process flows)
  • Support Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and reviews

Skill Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience in SQL (advanced querying, data validation, analysis)
  • Experience with Teradata (data warehousing concepts, performance tuning exposure preferred)
  • Practical experience with ETL tools, especially IBM DataStage
  • Familiarity with Apache Airflow (DAGs orchestration and scheduling concepts)
  • Working knowledge of Python for data processing or scripting
  • Understanding of data pipelines, data modelling, and data lifecycle management

Other Requirements

  • Understanding of Banking/Financial Services domain
  • Experience in working with data quality, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Ability to interpret business processes and translate into data/technical solutions

Soft Skills

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to bridge business and technical teams effectively
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and data-driven decisions
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in large-scale data transformation or migration programs
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms or modern data engineering practices
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Xray
