We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong Node.js and TypeScript backend focus and hands-on experience building modern React and Next.js frontends. This role operates in a cloud-native, microservices environment leveraging AWS (including Lambda), Docker, and Kubernetes.

The ideal candidate owns features end to end—from UI through API, data, and production operations—and understands how to design, test, deploy, and operate software in distributed, containerized, and serverless systems.

Key Responsibilities

Backend & API Development (Primary Focus)

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
  • Develop RESTful APIs and service-to-service integrations in a microservices architecture
  • Experience designing and consuming GraphQL APIs using Apollo (Server and Client) in production environments.
  • Design and evolve MongoDB schemas to support scalable, evolving applications
  • Implement robust error handling, validation, and observability
  • Balance synchronous and event-driven designs based on system needs
  • Build and maintain user interfaces using React and Next.js
  • Apply appropriate rendering strategies (SSR, SSG, client-side) based on performance and UX needs
  • Integrate frontend applications with backend and serverless APIs
  • Optimize frontend performance, accessibility, and reliability
  • Design and implement AWS Lambda functions using Node.js and TypeScript
  • Integrate Lambdas with APIs, event sources, and data stores
  • Apply best practices for cold-start mitigation, configuration management, security, and observability
  • Develop and run services in Dockerized environments
  • Understand how applications are deployed, configured, and scaled in Kubernetes (k8s)
  • Collaborate with platform teams to troubleshoot deployment, networking, and runtime issues
  • Diagnose environment-specific failures across local, container, and cloud environments
  • Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) tests across frontend and backend
  • Contribute to E2E testing strategies for microservices and frontend-to-backend flows
  • Validate edge cases, failure scenarios, and data consistency
  • Ensure test coverage supports confidence in frequent releases
