Job Summary

Role Purpose

Lead the design, implementation, governance, and operational management of the enterprise Secure Service Edge platform to enable secure access to applications, internet, cloud services, and sensitive data while supporting Zero Trust initiatives and regulatory compliance requirements. SSE includes capabilities such as SWG, CASB, ZTNA, DLP, RBI, and FWaaS.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Technical Leadership

• Define and drive the SSE roadmap and transformation strategy.
• Lead architecture reviews and technology evaluations.
• Develop Zero Trust access controls for workforce, third-party, and privileged users.
• Align SSE controls with enterprise security architecture.

Service Ownership

• Own end-to-end SSE service delivery and operations.
• Ensure platform availability, performance, scalability, and supportability.
• Define service KPIs, SLAs, governance controls, and reporting metrics.
• Manage operational escalations and executive communications.

Security Engineering & Operations

• Lead deployment and management of:
• Secure Web Gateway (SWG)
• Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)
• Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
• Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
• Remote Browser Isolation (RBI)
• Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS)
• Drive policy optimization, threat detection improvements, and incident response support.
• Oversee integrations with SIEM, SOAR, IAM, Endpoint Security, and Network Security platforms.

Program & Stakeholder Management

• Lead large-scale SSE implementation and migration programs.
• Coordinate with Network, Cloud, Endpoint, SOC, Identity, Compliance, and Audit teams.
• Manage vendor relationships, support escalations, and enhancement requests.
• Present program status, risks, and recommendations to leadership.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in audits and risk assessments.
• Develop operational standards, procedures, and architecture documentation.

Team Leadership

• Manage engineers, architects, and service delivery personnel.
• Mentor team members and support technical capability development.
• Drive innovation and automation initiatives.

Other Requirements

• 8–10 years of Information Security / Network Security experience.
• 5+ years managing enterprise security platforms.
• Experience with Cisco Secure Access, Zscaler, Netskope, Palo Alto Prisma Access, or equivalent SSE platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, identity security, and data protection.
