Job Summary

a Senior Security Engineer (L2) with strong experience in Secure Service Edge (SSE) operations and solution implementation. The role will primarily focus on day-to-day operations, while also contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and new solution implementations across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing large-scale enterprise environments, strong operational discipline, and proven exposure to implementing and enhancing security solutions. Experience with Bluecoat and Cisco Cloud Proxy and DLP is preferred, though candidates with experience on other leading SSE OEM platforms will also be considered

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Support

• Provide L2 operational support for SSE platforms including Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Cloud Proxy, and DLP solutions
• Handle Incident, Change, and Problem Management activities in line with ITIL processes
• Perform detailed troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and resolution of complex security incidents

Continuous Improvement

• Identify operational gaps and contribute to service improvement plans
• Optimize existing security policies, configurations, and workflows to improve efficiency and security posture
• Collaborate with L3, architecture, and vendor teams to enhance platform capabilities

Implementation & Engineering

• Support and execute new SSE solution implementations, upgrades, and feature rollouts
• Participate in solution design reviews, testing, and production deployment activities
• Assist with onboarding new users, applications, and integrations into SSE platforms

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with SOC, Network, Endpoint, and Cloud teams
• Maintain clear operational documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge articles
• Coordinate with OEM/vendor support teams for escalations and defect resolution

Skill Requirements

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SSE / SASE technologies, including:
• Secure Web Gateway (SWG)
• Data Loss Prevention (DLP) & CASB
• Preferred OEM Experience:
• Bluecoat/Cisco Cloud SSE
• Experience with other SSE/SASE vendors (e.g., Zscaler, Netskope, Palo Alto Prisma, etc.) is acceptable
• Good understanding of:
• Web security, proxy architectures
• TLS/SSL inspection
• Networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls)
• Authentication and identity integrations (SSO, LDAP, SAML, etc.)

Operational Experience

• Proven experience supporting large enterprise environments (global scale preferred)
• Strong exposure to Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes
• Experience working in 24x7 or follow-the-sun operational models (if applicable)

Implementation Experience

• Hands-on involvement in security solution implementation, migration, or expansion projects
• Ability to translate requirements into technical configurations and operational models
