Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Manager with over 10+ years of SAP experience and proven expertise in leading SAP technical teams across SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and transformation programs. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical leadership skills, hands-on SAP technical/Functional knowledge with SD OTC, SAP FI/CO RTR, stakeholder management capabilities, and experience managing large-scale SAP implementation, migration, upgrade, and support projects.

The SAP Technical Manager will be responsible for overseeing technical delivery, solution design reviews, development quality, integrations, performance optimization, governance, and team management while ensuring successful project execution and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead SAP technical & Functional teams comprising SAP ABAP, BTP, Integration, Fiori, Basis, Security, and Technical Architects.
  • Provide technical direction and governance across SAP projects.
  • Review and approve technical designs, development standards, and solution architecture.
  • Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, coding standards, and quality processes.
  • Mentor and guide technical consultants and leads.
  • Manage end-to-end SAP technical deliverables.
  • Coordinate with functional consultants, business stakeholders, architects, and project managers.
  • Drive project planning, resource allocation, effort estimation, and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor project milestones, quality metrics, and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure successful implementation, upgrade, migration, and support activities.
  • Lead technical workstreams during SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
  • Support Greenfield, Brownfield, and Selective Data Transition projects.
  • Review custom code remediation and simplification activities.
  • Manage technical cutover and deployment activities.
  • Drive system integration and migration activities.
  • Establish technical governance mechanisms.
  • Conduct code reviews and performance optimization reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements.
  • Drive defect resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Support release and change management activities.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers and leadership teams.
  • Present technical solutions, project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with global delivery teams and customer stakeholders.

Skill Requirements

  • 10+ years of SAP technical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience leading SAP technical teams.
  • Experience managing large SAP implementation and support engagements.
  • Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP BTP and Integration technologies.
  • Experience working in global delivery and customer-facing environments.
  • Exposure to Agile, Waterfall, and SAP Activate methodologies.
