Job Summary
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to guide our hardware engineering teams. Help the team apply Scrum and Agile principles while navigating the unique constraints of physical manufacturing, tooling, and component lifecycles. Goal is to foster self-organization, improve feedback loops, and remove roadblocks to ensure smooth hardware-software integration and timely prototype delivery.
Agile Facilitation & Coaching
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Coach the engineering team and stakeholders on Scrum values, rules, and Agile mindsets.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration between electrical, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams.
Impediment Removal & Flow Management
- Identify and eliminate roadblocks that slow down physical prototyping, lab testing, or supply chain dependencies.
- Manage dependencies between hardware tracks and external vendors or contract manufacturers.
- Protect the team from external distractions and scope creep during active build cycles.
Collaboration with Product & Project Management
- Assist the Product Owner / Hardware Product Manager with backlog grooming, prioritization, and release planning.
- Help adapt traditional hardware gate-reviews (Alpha, Beta, Pilot) into an iterative Agile cadence.
- Track metrics related to team velocity, lead times for physical parts, and increment delivery.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 6–10 years working as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, with direct experience supporting hardware or mixed hardware-software teams.
- Technical Literacy: A solid understanding of hardware development lifecycles (HDLC), PCB design, mechanical prototyping, or manufacturing processes.
- Agile Knowledge: Deep working knowledge of Scrum theory, rules, and scaling frameworks (such as SAFe or Nexus).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional servant leadership, conflict-resolution, and communication abilities to influence without direct authority.
- Tools: Proficiency with Agile project management software like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering
