Technical Specialist D365 FandSCM X++

Job Summary

  • Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central extensions using AL.

  • Develop custom functionality whilst following Microsoft's extension-first approach.

  • Create reusable, scalable, and maintainable application components.

  • Extend standard Business Central functionality through custom development.

  • Ensure development aligns with solution architecture and business requirements.

Technical Design

  • Participate in technical design workshops and solution reviews.

  • Translate functional specifications into technical designs and development tasks.

  • Create technical design documentation and development standards.

  • Support estimation, planning, and sprint activities.

  • Provide technical input during pre-sales and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop integrations between Business Central and external systems.

  • Develop and maintain APIs, web services, and middleware integrations.

  • Integrate Business Central with:

    • Power Platform

    • Dynamics 365 CE

    • Azure Services

    • Dataverse

    • Third-party ERP systems

    • E-commerce platforms

    • Banking and payment solutions

Data Migration & Reporting

  • Support data migration activities and tooling.

  • Develop data import and export processes.

  • Assist with report development and document customisation.

  • Support Power BI and analytical reporting integrations.

  • Ensure data quality and integrity throughout implementation projects.

Skill Requirements

  • Perform unit testing and code reviews.

  • Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

  • Optimise performance and scalability of Business Central solutions.

  • Maintain high coding standards and development governance.

DevOps & Release Management

  • Utilise Azure DevOps for source control and deployment pipelines.

  • Support CI/CD processes and automated deployment practices.

  • Manage code branching, version control, and release management.

  • Participate in environment management and deployment planning.

  • Support application lifecycle management best practices.

Other Requirements

1. Certification In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance And Supply Chain Management Is Optional But Valuable.
2. Certification In Relevant Technologies Or Methodologies (E.G., Agile, Scrum) Is Also Considered Beneficial
