Job Summary

The Embedded Linux Technical Specialist plays a critical role in architecting and delivering innovative solutions for product and sustenance delivery within the embedded systems domain. This role emphasizes strategic technical leadership, ensuring that projects align with industry standards and client requirements. The Specialist will lead a team in the design and implementation of robust embedded Linux solutions while fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence in technology.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architect, Design, And Develop Embedded Linux Solutions For Product And Sustenance Delivery, Collaborating With The Team To Ensure Technical Excellence And Adherence To Project Requirements.
2. Act As A Subject Matter Expert (Sme) On Embedded Linux Technologies, Providing Insights And Guidance To Project Teams And Stakeholders.
3. Conduct Research On Emerging Technologies And Frameworks In Embedded Systems To Ensure Solutions Are Cutting-Edge And Meet Quality Standards.
4. Develop And Deliver Training Programs For Team Members On Embedded Linux And Associated Technologies, Ensuring A Skilled Workforce Capable Of Mitigating Delivery Risks.
5. Gather And Analyze Specifications To Deliver Tailored Embedded Linux Solutions That Meet The Unique Needs Of Client Organizations.
6. Review Project Deliverables For Quality And Compliance With Design Specifications, Providing Constructive Feedback To Enhance Outcomes.
7. Identify Opportunities For Client Value Creation Through Innovative Solutions, Implementing Industry Best Practices In Embedded Linux Development.

Skill Requirements

1. Expert Knowledge In Embedded Linux, Including Kernel Design And Modification, Device Drivers, And System Optimization.
2. Advanced Proficiency In Yocto For Custom Linux Distribution Creation And Configuration Management.
3. Solid Understanding Of Bootloaders, Specifically U-Boot, And Experience With Board Support Package (Bsp) Development.
4. Familiarity With Hardware Interfacing And Board Bring-Up Processes To Troubleshoot And Optimize Embedded Systems.
5. Strong Problem-Solving Skills And Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Team Environment.

Other Requirements

1. Certification In Embedded Linux Or Related Technologies Is Optional But Valuable (E.G., Linux Foundation Certified Engineer, Yocto Project Certified Developer).
