Job Summary

The Hexagon SPF/SDx Consultant will be responsible for end-to-end implementation, configuration, and support of Hexagon SmartPlant Foundation (SPF) solutions across engineering and asset information management landscapes. The role requires strong functional and technical expertise in engineering data management, integration with Hexagon tools (such as SmartPlant P&ID, Smart 3D, SPI and others), and experience working in large-scale digital transformation programs within engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) or oil and gas industries.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  •  Installation of SPF Application server & WebClient config.
  • Manage system configuration, environment setup, platform administration across dev, test, and production landscapes
  • Creation of User profiles across projects/plants.
  • Setup of Site’s, PBS, backup & restore site.
  • Create Data validator, rulesets, Data capture & linkages, configuration of reports and Visual filters on 3D model, engineering as per CHIFOS standard.
  • Support data integration, document control, and lifecycle management within SPF
  • Manage integration interfaces with Hexagon tools (Smart 3D, Smart P&ID and others) and external systems (SAP)
  • Implementation, testing & troubleshooting of new deployments/system upgrades in SPF.
  • View defs, graph defs, edge defs, and entire elf mapping and configuration management
  • Support data migration, bulk data loads, and corrections in production environments
  • Prepare and maintain support documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles

Skill Requirements

Core Hexagon SPF/SDX Skills (Must-Have)

  • Strong hands-on experience in SPF administration, configuration, and L3 support
  • Deep knowledge of SPF architecture, schema design, and data models
  • Experience in troubleshooting, system upgrades, performance issues, debugging of system failures or bugs (understanding of logs)
  • Expertise in workflow management, document control, and metadata configuration
  • Knowledge of system-to-system integration with authoring tools.
  • SQL to handle different Data bases, application & host servers. Also, deployment of codes and APIs.
  • Experience in production support environments with SLA/KPI adherence

Good to have Skills

  • Exposure to Hexagon Applications and cloud deployments on Azure
  • Experience with scripting, automation, or customization in SPF
  • Knowledge of middleware/integration tools and API-based integrations
  • Familiarity with server certifications and management.
  • Experience in infrastructure coordination (Windows Server, IIS, DB management)
  • Exposure to EPC, oil & gas, or industrial engineering domains

Other Requirements

1.Relevant certifications in .NET, Angular, or SQL Server technologies are a plus.
