Job Summary
Role Overview
The Data Management Expert (DME) at Competent level supports ING’s data transformation initiatives across Customer Data, KYC, AML, and Financial Crime domains by contributing to data engineering, governance, and integration activities.
The role focuses on hands-on execution, working closely with senior DMEs, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, governed, and compliant data solutions aligned with ING standards. [DME Profil...be enabled | Outlook]

2. Key Responsibilities
A. Data Engineering & Integration
• Develop and maintain ETL/data pipelines for ingesting and transforming data from multiple systems
• Support integration into Data Lake / PRP / MDM layers
• Work with structured and semi-structured datasets
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation

B. Data Governance & Quality
• Implement data governance standards aligned to ING practices
• Support metadata management (e.g., business glossary, lineage)
• Define and execute data quality rules & monitoring checks
• Ensure data consistency, completeness, and traceability

C. Data Modelling & Warehousing
• Assist in creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models
• Work on dimensional modelling (star/snowflake)
• Support data dictionary and schema definition

D. Banking & Regulatory Data Support
• Work with KYC, CDD, AML, Transaction Monitoring datasets
• Support regulatory reporting and compliance requirements
• Ensure adherence to data retention and audit requirements

E. Stakeholder Collaboration
• Work with Business Analysts, Data Stewards, and Engineers
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and reviews
• Translate functional requirements into technical specifications

• Data Management & Data Governance (hands-on)
• Advanced SQL (complex queries, analysis, profiling)

• IBM DataStage (ETL – mandatory for ING)
• Exposure to IBM InfoSphere Governance Catalog / Collibra
• Data profiling and source-to-target mapping
Domain
• Strong Banking domain experience (mandatory)
• KYC / AML / CDD / Transaction Monitoring knowledge
Delivery & Ways of Working
• Agile / Scrum execution

• Data Lake (Azure / Hadoop) exposure
