Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced SAP Authorization and GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) Consultant to join the DxE Business Solution team.
- This role is a lead position with end‑to‑end ownership of SAP authorization and access control across the SAP S/4HANA landscape. While the primary focus is on strategy, governance, and leadership, the role also includes selective hands‑on involvement in authorization and GRC activities, reflecting the needs of a small, expert organization.
Key Responsibilities
Authorization Strategy, Governance & Ownership
- Lead the design, governance, and continuous improvement of the SAP S/4HANA authorization landscape.
- Define and enforce Vaisala’s SAP role design principles, authorization standards, and clean core compliant ways of working.
- Serve as the primary architect for SAP authorization strategy across S/4HANA and related applications.
- Govern role creation, modification, and deployment processes in alignment with business, security, and audit requirements.
Authorization & GRC Execution (Hands‑on Where Needed)
- Participate in hands‑on authorization work as required, including:
- Modifying and creating roles
- Adjusting authorization objects and organizational values
- Maintaining Fiori catalogs, groups, and spaces
- Support SAP GRC Access Control processes, including:
- Access Request Management (ARM)
- Emergency Access Management (EAM)
- Segregation of Duties (SoD) risk management
- Ensure effective remediation and mitigation of audit findings related to authorizations and access control.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Oversee and guide AMS authorization consultants, ensuring consistent operational support, quality, and adherence to governance models.
- Collaborate closely with business solution owners, process teams, key users, and security stakeholders.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert and trusted advisor on authorization, access management, and compliance topics.
License Management & Optimization
- Manage and optimize SAP FUE (Full Use Equivalent) license consumption, ensuring compliance with contractual limits and cost‑efficient usage.
Ways of Working & Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvements and propose enhancements aligned with SAP and S/4HANA best practices.
- Stay up to date with SAP authorization, GRC, and S/4HANA developments.
- Take ownership of assigned deliverables and contribute effectively in cross‑functional, Agile teams.
- Support Product Owner delivery goals and agreed KPIs within scrum teams.
Skill Requirements
SAP & Security Expertise
- Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA authorization concepts and GRC configuration.
- Strong understanding of security principles, access control, and audit requirements.
- Good understanding of business processes and their authorization implications.
Project Experience
- Experience in S/4HANA programs (at least one end‑to‑end implementation preferred).
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments
- Proven ability to own deliverables and manage stakeholder expectations
Documentation & Testing
- Preparation of functional specifications, test scripts, and training materials
Execution of unit testing and support for integration and UAT phases
