Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned and hands-on Senior SAP ABAP Developer with deep expertise in ABAP on HANA, modern extension paradigms, and end-to-end S/4HANA implementations. The ideal candidate will bridge business requirements with robust technical architecture, lead code remediation, optimize performance, and mentor junior developers.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Technical Design & Delivery: Translate complex functional requirements into robust technical specifications, custom programs, enhancements, and forms.

ABAP on HANA Optimization: Build and optimize programs using code-to-data (pushdown) techniques including Core Data Services (CDS) views, AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), and SQLScript.

Modern Framework Development: Design and deploy transactional apps using the RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and OData services.

S/4HANA Conversion & Custom Code Remediation: Execute ATC (ABAP Test Cockpit) checks, handle syntax adjustments, and lead custom code adaptation worklists during system upgrades or migrations.

Integration Architecture: Manage complex system integrations across SAP and non-SAP environments utilizing IDocs, RFCs, and APIs.

Performance Tuning & Debugging: Diagnose runtime errors and bottlenecks using advanced tools like SAT, ST12, and SQLM/ST05.

Leadership & Review: Conduct peer code reviews, enforce Clean Core principles, and guide development teams across agile delivery cycles.

Skill Requirements

Core & Object-Oriented ABAP: Mastery of OO-ABAP and modern syntax (7.4/7.5+).

SAP S/4HANA Technologies: CDS Views, AMDP, and OData service creation.

Modern Architecture: Hands-on experience with RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model) and Fiori/UI5 integration awareness.

Code Quality & Migration: Experience with ATC, custom code lifecycle management, and S/4HANA readiness remediation.

Debugging/Tuning: Superior troubleshooting and performance optimization capabilities.

Other Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.

Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., ABAP for SAP HANA or S/4HANA Application Development) are a strong plus

Exposure to SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) ABAP Environment (Steampunk).

Functional process awareness in key modules like FI/CO, MM, or SD.
