Job Summary

An experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) with strong expertise in IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS) to lead and manage strategic omnichannel retail initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of deep technical knowledge, program management expertise, and experience working within complex retail supply chain ecosystems.

The TPM will be responsible for driving OMS-related programs, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing integrations across commerce platforms and enterprise applications, and ensuring successful delivery of scalable omnichannel solutions. The candidate should have hands-on understanding of IBM Sterling OMS, cloud-based architectures, API integrations, and modern microservices environments. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale IBM Sterling OMS programs and initiatives across business and technology teams.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of OMS enhancements, implementations, upgrades, and optimization projects.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, engineering teams, and external vendors.
  • Drive program planning, governance, risk management, and executive reporting.
  • Coordinate integration initiatives between Sterling OMS and:
    • eCommerce platforms
    • Fulfillment systems
    • Supply chain applications
    • Affiliate services and partner systems
  • Manage dependencies across multiple teams within a microservices-based architecture.
  • Lead release planning, deployment readiness, and production stabilization activities.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering, solution design reviews, and technical decision-making.
  • Monitor project metrics, timelines, budgets, risks, and overall delivery health.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and operational excellence standards.

Skill Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Program Management or Technical Program Management roles.
  • 5+ years of experience working with IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS).
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Order orchestration
    • Inventory visibility
    • Fulfillment workflows
    • Omnichannel retail processes
  • Experience managing complex enterprise integration programs.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • APIs
    • Event-driven architectures
    • Microservices-based systems
  • Experience working with Agile and Scrum delivery models.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead geographically distributed teams.

  • Experience with Blue Yonder (BY), particularly:
    • Commit Management
    • Safety Stock Planning
    • Inventory Optimization
  • Experience in retail, omnichannel commerce, or supply chain domains.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native environments hosted on AWS.
  • Understanding of modern enterprise integration patterns and middleware technologies.
  • Experience defining product roadmaps and strategic technology initiatives.
Maximum Salary (US):  180000
Minimum Salary (US):  122000

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
