Job Summary

As an AI Engineer, you are passionate about working with modern software engineering practices and Agentic AI, and ready to drive the development and scaling of distributed agentic AI solutions, from concept to production. In this newly set-up team, you will work closely with data scientists and product owners, to build multi‑agent frameworks and to orchestrate interactions between agents. Your work will ensure robust, scalable AI capabilities that are integrated within the bank to deliver real business impact.

 

Do you recognize yourself in this profile:

• Python programming proficiency.
• Experience with Microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, async programming.
• Experience designing distributed software with cloud-based managed services (preferably GCP).
• Deployment and provisioning automation tools e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift, CI/CD.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Basic understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
• Familiarity with concepts such as neural networks, model training/testing, and LLM architecture.
• Familiarity with agentic frameworks (ADK, LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI) and design of multi-agent systems.
• Practical experience with LLMs (Gemini, Claude etc.), RAG systems, and vector DBs.
• Proficiency in software engineering best practices including version control, testing, documentation, and code review.
• Collaborating with SMEs (data scientists, data analysts, product owner) in a newly set-up team.

• Production-ready, software engineering mindset. We are setting up our teams from scratch and prefer candidates who have built modern applications from scratch and ensured it reaches production environments.
• Basic understanding of Java/Kotlin for connectivity to ING internal systems.
• Background in monitoring and observability with tools like Google CloudTrace, LangSmith, Langfuse, Phoenix Arize.
• Involvement in the implementation and deployment of cloud solutions incorporating Generative AI and LLM technologies.
• Experience in developing and maintaining high load APIs, and OpenAPI integration and governance.
• Strong GCP and event-driven architecture skills.
• Contribution to open-source projects is considered advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

1. To architect| design and develop (through Team) solution for product/project & sustenance delivery
2. To support as an SME
3. To ensure knowledge up-gradation and work with new technologies so that the solution is current and meets quality standards and the client requirements
4. To train and develop team so as to ensure that there is an adequate supply of trained manpower in the said technology and deliver risks are mitigated
5. To gather specifications and deliver solutions to the client organization based on understanding of a domain or technology
6. To review project deliverables.
7. To recommend client value creation initiatives and implement industry best practices (on specific technology/product)
