Job Description (JD) – SAS Analyst / SAS Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance SAS-based applications and analytical solutions for Banking and Financial Services projects.
• Perform portfolio analysis and data-driven investigations for the Bank's collections and recovery portfolio.
• Support portfolio risk management teams by conducting collection behavior analysis and identifying key risk trends.
• Design and develop detailed and summary reports to support business, operational, and management reporting requirements.
• Analyze large volumes of data to identify patterns, trends, anomalies, and root causes impacting business performance.
• Create data-driven analytical dashboards and representations to provide insights into delinquency trends, operational efficiency, cost optimization, and recovery performance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Conduct deep-dive analysis and present findings to stakeholders with clear recommendations.
• Participate in software development lifecycle activities including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, enhancements, and documentation.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of assignments with a strong sense of accountability and commitment.

Technical Skills & Experience

SAS Technologies

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• SAS/Base
• SAS Enterprise Guide
• SAS/STAT
• SAS Macros
• SAS/Access
• SAS ODS (Output Delivery System)
• SAS Graphs
• Extensive experience in developing reusable and efficient SAS Macro programs to simplify and automate reporting and analytical processes.

Data Management & Analytics

• Strong experience in:
• Data Reading and Extraction
• Data Management and Transformation
• Data Analysis and Statistical Reporting
• Data Presentation and Visualization
• Data Formatting and Standardization
• Data Subsetting and Summarization
• Advanced analytical processing using SAS Procedures

Databases

• Practical experience working with:
• Teradata
• Oracle Database
• BigData

Operating Systems

• Strong experience working in Windows environments.
• Ability to quickly adapt and work across different operating systems and platforms.

 

SAS BI Platform Experience (Preferred)

Experience with SAS Business Intelligence (BI) components including:

• SAS Enterprise Guide
• SAS Data Integration (DI) Studio
• SAS Stored Process
• Information Map Studio
• OLAP Studio
• Web Report Studio
• SAS Management Console

1. To architect| design and develop (through Team) solution for product/project & sustenance delivery
2. To support as an SME
3. To ensure knowledge up-gradation and work with new technologies so that the solution is current and meets quality standards and the client requirements
4. To train and develop team so as to ensure that there is an adequate supply of trained manpower in the said technology and deliver risks are mitigated
5. To gather specifications and deliver solutions to the client organization based on understanding of a domain or technology
6. To review project deliverables.
7. To recommend client value creation initiatives and implement industry best practices (on specific technology/product)
