Job Description: JD Edwards CNC Technology Manager
Experience: 12–15 years Pan India
We are seeking a highly accomplished JD Edwards CNC professional with extensive experience in AS/400 environments, new implementation and installation programs, enterprise upgrades, and production support operations. It will be expected to function in a Technology Manager capacity, ensuring platform reliability, and engaging effectively with senior management, infrastructure teams, and external service providers.

- Provide end-to-end leadership for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne CNC administration across development, test, production, and disaster recovery environments.
- Plan, govern, and execute new JD Edwards installations, including Deployment Server, Enterprise Server, Web Server, Server Manager, path codes, data sources, environments, package builds, and client configurations.
- Lead JD Edwards application and tools release upgrades, ESUs, ASUs, service packs, package deployments, and environment refresh activities in alignment with enterprise release governance.
- Oversee JD Edwards environments hosted on AS/400 / IBM iSeries platforms, coordinating closely with infrastructure, database, network, and security teams.
- Ensure robust production support for business-critical operations by maintaining high availability, performance, operational stability, and timely resolution of incidents.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting for CNC, package build, security, job queue, print queue, OMW, Server Manager, web/application server, and performance-related issues.
- Own incident, problem, change, and release management processes for the JD Edwards technical landscape, ensuring adherence to defined governance and compliance standards.
- Establish and institutionalize best practices for environment management, object promotions, security administration, monitoring, backup, recovery, and audit compliance.
- Collaborate with functional, technical, infrastructure, database, and business teams to resolve complex cross-functional issues and deliver sustainable outcomes.
- Develop technical roadmaps, upgrade strategies, risk assessments, impact analyses, and executive-level status reports for leadership review.
- Lead strategic discussions with senior management, business leadership, vendors, and internal IT teams on platform strategy, risks, priorities, service improvements, and operational maturity.
- Mentor, guide, and develop CNC administrators and support team members to strengthen technical capability, accountability, and delivery excellence.

- Operate as the Technology Manager for JD Edwards CNC and platform operations, with accountability for technical delivery, service quality, operational resilience, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate senior-level technical discussions with executive management, business stakeholders, program leadership, infrastructure teams, and vendors.
- Communicate complex technical matters in terms of business impact, risk exposure, mitigation options, and decision requirements for leadership audiences.
- Lead upgrade planning, cutover readiness, production stabilization, and executive communication during critical programs and major releases.
- Balance and manage priorities across incidents, enhancements, upgrades, audits, compliance activities, and operational support commitments.
- Establish reusable operating procedures, support models, escalation frameworks, and knowledge documentation to enable sustainable service delivery.

Required Technical Skills
- Extensive hands-on experience in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne CNC administration, preferably across versions 9.0, 9.1, and 9.2.
- Comprehensive knowledge of JD Edwards installation, configuration, environment creation, path code management, data source setup, package build, deployment, and technical troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated experience in JD Edwards application upgrades, tools release upgrades, ESU/ASU deployment, special instructions execution, testing coordination, and post-upgrade stabilization.
- Strong working knowledge of AS/400 / IBM iSeries environments, including JD Edwards deployment, administration, and production support on the platform.
- Proficiency with Server Manager, Deployment Server, Enterprise Server, HTML/JAS Server, AIS Server, BSSV Server, and web/application server administration.
- Sound understanding of OMW, object promotions, package management, security workbench, role-based access, row/column/action security, and segregation of duties controls.
- Experience coordinating with database and infrastructure teams across DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Windows, Unix/Linux, WebLogic, WebSphere, or related technology platforms.
- Strong understanding of production monitoring, job queue management, print queue management, log analysis, performance tuning, backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
- Ability to support integrations, interfaces, batch jobs, scheduler activities, and third-party tools integrated with JD Edwards.
- Good understanding of ITIL processes, change governance, release management, audit controls, and compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
- 12–15 years of overall experience in JD Edwards CNC administration, technical operations, upgrades, and production support.
- Experience leading at least one full-cycle JD Edwards new installation and multiple upgrade or tools release projects.
- Strong background in supporting mission-critical production environments with defined SLAs and business continuity expectations.
- Excellent communication, documentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently, lead teams, manage escalations, and influence technology decisions at senior levels.
