Technical Specialist

Job Summary

System Configuration: Build and tune planning areas, calculation graphs, key figures, and constraint-based heuristics or optimizers.
Data Integration: Maintain data pipelines using SAP Cloud Integration for Data Services (CPI-DS) and Real-Time Integration (RTI) / Core Interface (CIF).
Troubleshooting & Sync: Resolve data synchronization issues, queue errors, and master/transactional data discrepancies between S/4HANA and IBP.
Testing & Deployment: Author technical specs, execute unit and integration testing, and support go-live cutovers and hypercare.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Configuration: Architect and configure complex planning areas, master data types, key figure calculations, and advanced supply planning algorithms.
  • Data Integration: Design, monitor, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines between SAP S/4HANA and IBP using CPI-DS and Real-Time Integration (RTI).
  • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot high-priority system errors, interface queue blocks, performance bottlenecks, and data synchronization failures.
  • Upgrade & Life Cycle Management: Manage system landscapes, transport routes, and the evaluation and testing of quarterly SAP IBP cloud upgrades.

Skill Requirements

  • SAP IBP Configuration: Deep expertise in building planning areas, master data types (MDTs), advanced key figure calculations, and attributes.
  • Data Integration Tools: Advanced proficiency in SAP CPI-DS (Cloud Integration for Data Services) and RTI (Real-Time Integration) or CIF.
  • Planning Algorithms: Hands-on experience tuning statistical forecasting models, supply heuristics, cost-based optimizers, and safety stock calculations.
  • SAP Ecosystem: Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or ERP modules like PP (Production Planning), MM (Materials Management), or PP/DS.
  • User Interface Design: Mastery of the SAP IBP Excel Add-In (VBA, formatting, local formulas) and WebUI dashboard configuration.
