Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

AWS Platform Management

· Manage and maintain application AWS environments across Development, SIT, UAT, PNV and Production.

· Administer AWS services including:

o EKS (Kubernetes)

o RDS / Aurora PostgreSQL

o Lambda

o SQS

o CloudWatch

o Secrets Manager

o IAM

o Networking components

· Ensure platform security, resilience, scalability and cost optimisation.

Kubernetes & Infrastructure Operations

· Support and administer Kubernetes clusters running application workloads.

· Troubleshoot pod, deployment and infrastructure issues.

· Manage platform upgrades, patching and capacity planning.

· Support environment provisioning and infrastructure automation.

· Perform backup, snapshot, recovery and disaster recovery activities.

CI/CD & Release Engineering

· Manage deployment pipelines using Codefresh and GitHub.

· Support release execution across non-production and production environments.

· Automate deployment, rollback and validation processes.

· Partner with Release Managers and Engineering Leads during major production releases and implementation weekends.

Production Support & Reliability

· Support production and non-production environments.

· Participate in incident management and root-cause analysis.

· Monitor platform health using:

o Dynatrace

o AWS CloudWatch

o Splunk

· Drive improvements to platform reliability, observability and operational excellence.

· Support BVT, TVT and post-release validation activities.

Cloud Governance & Security

· Implement AWS platform controls and security guardrails.

· Support IAM role management, access control and privileged access processes.

· Coordinate platform changes with cloud platform teams.

· Ensure compliance with enterprise cloud governance standards and security requirements.

· Support AWS account onboarding, tagging, policy optimisation and platform governance initiatives.

Environment & Delivery Support

· Support environment readiness for project delivery.

· Coordinate infrastructure requirements for strategic initiatives and releases.

· Manage environment configurations and operational dependencies.

· Work with delivery teams on implementation planning and production readiness.

Cost Optimisation

· Continuously review AWS consumption and identify optimisation opportunities.

· Implement platform improvements that reduce operational costs while maintaining service reliability.

· Optimize compute, storage and database services.
