Job Summary

This role is focused on resolving technical issues, offering guidance, and maintaining IT resources to provide essential assistance to end-users and ensure smooth operations.

Senior JD Edwards EnterpriseOne CNC Administrator with extensive experience in managing and supporting JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Environments version 9.2. The ideal candidate will also have strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and experience utilizing modern tools for managing JD Edwards in cloud environments. The Senior CNC Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the successful deployment and maintenance of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, along with system performance optimization, security, and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

  1. JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Administration:
    • Administer, configure, and manage JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) environments, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
    • Perform day-to-day management of EnterpriseOne instances including deployment, upgrades, troubleshooting, and patch management.
    • Provide expert-level support for CNC configurations, server management, and all JD Edwards-related issues, ensuring high system availability.
    • Coordinate the installation and configuration of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne tools and applications in different environments (Development, Test, Production).
  2. Upgrade Management (9.1 to 9.2):
    • JD Edwards EnterpriseOne upgrade from version 9.1 to 9.2 with the latest upgrade tools and techniques.
  3. Cloud Infrastructure Management:
    • Oversee and manage JD Edwards EnterpriseOne instances hosted on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, etc.), ensuring proper scaling, security, and performance.
    • Collaborate with cloud infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain JD Edwards EnterpriseOne in cloud-based environments, leveraging cloud tools and automation to streamline deployment and maintenance.
    • Experience with deploying JD Edwards EnterpriseOne in cloud-native or hybrid cloud environments, including best practices for cloud security, data storage, and backup.
    • Leverage cloud infrastructure to optimize performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  4. Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting:
    • Monitor and optimize the performance of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications and databases.
    • Perform root cause analysis of system performance issues and implement corrective actions to improve system stability and performance.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across JD Edwards CNC components (e.g., batch processing, security, database, and application server issues).
  5. System Maintenance and Security:
    • Maintain system patches and updates for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, including applying fixes, service packs, and critical patches.
    • Implement and manage JD Edwards EnterpriseOne security configurations, including user roles, security settings, and audit logs.
    • Ensure that all security measures are in place, both for cloud and on-premises installations, in compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
  6. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
    • Create and maintain detailed documentation for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne environments, processes, procedures, and upgrade methodologies.
    • Provide training and knowledge transfer to junior administrators and other IT staff, ensuring a high level of technical proficiency within the team.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish best practices and ensure that business processes are aligned with JD Edwards capabilities.
  7. Collaboration with Stakeholders:
    • Work closely with business and technical teams to understand system requirements and provide technical expertise on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
    • Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers to resolve system-related issues and ensure smooth operations.
    • Provide proactive guidance to project teams on new functionality, changes, and future upgrades.



Skill Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne CNC administration.
  • Strong experience with JD Edwards tools such as Deployment Workbench, Lifecycle Management (LCM), Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Toolset, and other related utilities.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud) and cloud-based deployment strategies for JD Edwards applications.
  • Proven experience in cloud-based JD Edwards deployments and cloud environment management.
  • Deep understanding of JD Edwards architecture, including EnterpriseOne Servers, Enterprise Server, Batch Server, Web Servers, Security, and Database Servers.
  • Experience with performance tuning of JD Edwards applications, including memory management, database performance, and batch job optimizations.
  • Strong knowledge of database administration, including Oracle and SQL Server, and the ability to work with database backups, restores, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Oracle WebLogic, WebLogic Clusters, and Load Balancers in relation to JD Edwards.
  • Experience with JD Edwards integration tools (e.g., Orchestrator, Business Services).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Familiarity with Agile or DevOps methodologies is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • JD Edwards EnterpriseOne CNC Certification.
  • Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform) for automation of JD Edwards deployments.
  • Experience with database replication, high availability solutions, and disaster recovery planning for JD Edwards systems in the cloud.
  • Knowledge of containerization and deployment tools such as Docker and Kubernetes in the context of JD Edwards.
