Technical Support Specialist
Australia
Job Description
Technical Support Specialist
Melbourne City, Victoria

Job Summary

We're hiring a Product Owner to own the SAP SuccessFactors platform for a large Australian retail organisation, with deep Employee Central Payroll (ECP) expertise at the centre of the role. You'll set the product direction, work directly with the People & Culture team, and turn business needs into a delivered, adopted product. This is a hands-on ownership role, not a coordination role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the SuccessFactors product roadmap, with Employee Central Payroll as the priority, aligned to business strategy and HR transformation goals.
  • Act as the SME for SuccessFactors modules — Employee Central Payroll first, plus Employee Central and adjacent modules — and their integration with other enterprise platforms (finance, time/attendance, banking).
  • Partner with the People & Culture team to identify, validate and prioritise HR and payroll system requirements.
  • Engage business stakeholders and external vendors to gather insights, align priorities and keep delivery on track.
  • Translate monthly business needs into clear, actionable requirements and build and manage the product backlog with the technology team.
  • Prioritise features and enhancements on business value, feasibility and strategic fit.
  • Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to define future-state payroll and HR processes and system capabilities.
  • Develop business cases to secure internal approval and funding for new initiatives and enhancements.
  • Monitor delivery, clear blockers, and ensure features, fixes and payroll changes (including legislative and compliance updates) release on time.
  • Support change management and adoption so the platform transitions cleanly into BAU.

Skill Requirements

  • Proven Product Owner experience on SAP SuccessFactors in a large, complex organisation.
  • Deep, hands-on Employee Central Payroll (ECP) expertise — configuration understanding, payroll processing cycles, and payroll compliance.
  • Strong grasp of Australian payroll (awards, superannuation, PAYG, Single Touch Payroll and related legislative requirements).
  • Track record translating business needs into backlogs and delivering in an agile environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management across HR/P&C, technology and external vendors.

Other Requirements

  • SuccessFactors certification (Employee Central Payroll and/or Employee Central).
  • Retail or other large enterprise / high-volume workforce experience.
  • Experience with SF integrations to finance, time and attendance, and banking system
