Job Summary
Required Qualifications: • 5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and engineering with emphasis on Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) module. • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing SPM integrations and plugins, particularly with Jira (Data Center/Cloud) and Apptio, including configuration and customization. • Strong understanding of Jira administration (projects, workflows, issue types, permission schemes, and plugins). • Strong understanding of integration architecture, including API-based, event-driven, and file-based integrations. • Experience designing and supporting bi-directional integrations between enterprise systems (e.g., SPM ↔ Jira). • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, including Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, APIs, and security best practices. • Experience with development, release management, plugin lifecycle, and deployment processes for ServiceNow platform. • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and ITSM processes. • Experience integrating ServiceNow SPM with DevOps tools (GitHub, Jenkins, etc.). • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills for SPM and Jira integrations. • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts effectively. • Experience working with Axway MFT, DBAs, data teams, and DevOps teams. • Excellent soft skills – executive communication, adaptability, problem-solving, teamwork, and stakeholder management. Desired Qualifications: • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM). • Experience with system/API integrations across Jira (Data Center or Cloud), ServiceNow SPM, Apptio, and enterprise data platforms. • Experience with data extraction/ingestion into data lake and reporting ecosystems. What will you be doing in the role: Platform Administration & Maintenance • Administer, configure, and maintain ServiceNow SPM platform, including backend integrations with Jira (Data Center/Cloud) and Apptio. • Ensure availability, scalability, performance, and security of the ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) module and associated Atlassian & ServiceNow marketplace add-ons. • Lead environment upgrades, release impact assessments, regression testing, and post-release validation activities. • Perform best-practice platform maintenance: reduce customizations, favor out-of-box capabilities, archive data, and audit users, roles, and groups. • Monitor logs, scheduled jobs, and integration health to proactively identify and resolve issues. • Establish and maintain high availability, backup, and disaster recovery processes. Configuration & Integration • Configure ServiceNow SPM products, implement features, automation, and integrations aligned with business and user requirements. • Design and manage end-to-end integration architecture between ServiceNow SPM, Jira, Apptio, and other enterprise systems. • Manage projects, workflows, issue types, screens, fields, and permission schemes across Jira and SPM to ensure data consistency and synchronization. • Design and maintain bi-directional synchronization between Jira and SPM (Epics, Feature
