Technical lead - Spring Boot, React.js, Java

Job Summary

  • Analyze and migrate legacy Java/J2EE applications to modern Spring Boot-based microservices architecture.
  • Perform Java version upgrades (e.g., Java 8 → 11/17/21) ensuring code compatibility and performance improvements.
  • Refactor monolithic applications into modular, API-driven services (RESTful APIs).
  • Upgrade frameworks (e.g., Spring MVC → Spring Boot) and replace deprecated libraries/components.
  • Collaborate with architecture teams to define target architecture and migration strategy.
  • Implement and support CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and deployment in cloud/OpenShift environments.
  • Ensure code quality, security, and performance tuning using tools like SonarQube.
  • Support integration, testing, and production deployment during migration phases.
  • Lead the team and coordinate with onshore lead

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead a team of developers in the creation of software solutions using spring boot, react..js, and java.
2. Design, develop, and implement high-quality code to meet project requirements.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project needs and provide technical expertise and guidance.
4. Ensure code reviews are conducted and best practices are followed throughout the development process.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
6. Stay updated on industry trends and technology advancements to continuously improve the development process.

Skill Requirements

Must have:  Java 21, Spring Boot, Junit

Good to Have : Openshift, Control-M , Gitlab, with Java & spring boot migration, copilot promting.

 

1. Strong proficiency in spring boot, react..js, and java programming languages. 
2. Experience in leading development teams and managing projects using agile methodologies.
3. Solid understanding of software development best practices and design patterns.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
5. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
6. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines in a fast paced environment.

Other Requirements

1.Relevant certifications in spring boot, ReactJS, or Java would be a plus.
