Job Summary
As an L3 & L4 Application Maintenance Engineer, you will be the first line of defense for production incidents and service requests across applications built on TBC, SPP, Java EE, Android|iOS
Angular JS technologies. You will triage, restore service quickly, perform runbook actions, and ensure accurate incident documentation. You will also support content updates and code/config promotions under supervision, contributing to stability, performance, and compliance with SLAs/SLOs.
Key Responsibilities
Incident & Request Handling
Monitor alerts, dashboards, and queues; acknowledge within SLA and execute runbook steps for initial remediation.
Perform first‑touch troubleshooting (logs, basic queries, config checks) for web apps, APIs, Windows services.
Escalate to L4 based on clear escalation criteria; maintain incident notes, timelines, and post‑incident data.
Source & Content Operations
Execute content updates for Sitecore (components, media, content tree changes) following change policies.
Support code/config deployment activities (release windows, validations, rollback steps) under guidance.
Manage service requests (access, config flags, cache refreshes, job reruns) with audit traceability.
SRE Ways of Working
Follow runbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and SLO error budget awareness.
Contribute to knowledge base (KB) articles, runbook refinements, and known‑error entries.
Participate in daily health checks, routine tasks (log rotation checks, job success, backups status).
Tools & Platforms
Experience supporting internal applications including TBC, SPP, and other in‑house systems. Strong understanding of Java EE applications, deployments, and log analysis. Ability to troubleshoot AngularJS front-end issues and validate UI/API flows. Familiarity with Android/iOS app configurations, API connectivity checks, and basic crash-log review. Hands-on use of Git, Postman, Notepad++, WinSCP, curl, OpenSSL, and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK/Kibana.
Mandatory Requirements
4–6 years in application support/maintenance across Java EE, AngularJS, mobile apps, and internal platforms (TBC/SPP). Strong skills in API debugging, log analysis, basic SQL, and version control with Git. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring dashboards, and ITSM tools (ServiceNow/Jira). Ability to manage L3+L4 incidents, deployments, configuration updates, and documentation.
Good to Have
Scripting knowledge (Shell/Python), mobile build exposure, AngularJS internals awareness, basic Java performance understanding, and knowledge of ITIL processes.
KPIs
Key Responsibilities
MTTA/MTTR for L3 & L4 scope, SLA on acknowledgments, ticket hygiene & KB contributions.
% incidents resolved at L3 & L4, first‑contact resolution, and runbook adherence.
