Job Summary

Role: Test Engineer

Location: Offshore (India – Bangalore and Pune)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform testing for:
• Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and iPod applications
• Device connectivity (USB, Bluetooth, WLAN)
• Execute:
• Smoke, Release, and Regression Testing
• Feature & Bugfix Verification
• Manage and execute test cases in Polarion with proper reporting
• Log defects along with required logs and traces
• Set up and maintain infotainment test environments and devices
• Analyze logs using tools such as ADB, EsoTrace, Wireshark
• Ensure timely communication of test results, blockers, and risks
• Participate in daily/weekly sync calls with stakeholders

Required Skills:

• Basic knowledge of Android and iOS Mobile systems.
• Familiarity with MacOS, Facets, ATS as related to CarPlay.

• Experience in Automotive Infotainment Testing
• Strong expertise in CarPlay / Android Auto ecosystems
• Experience with Polarion
• Hands-on with Android, Linux (ADB, CLI, SSH)
• Knowledge of network diagnostics and log analysis

Nice to Have:

• Certification testing knowledge - ISTQB Certified Tester – Foundation Level

Additional Expectations:

• Strong analytical and debugging skills

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the test planning phase, including defining the testing scope, objectives, and strategies.
2. Conduct testing activities on android and software applications to identify defects and ensure functionality.
3. Develop test cases, scenarios, and scripts for different testing phases such as functional, regression, and performance testing.
4. Coordinate with the development team to address and resolve issues identified during testing.
5. Create test reports and communicate with stakeholders on the progress and outcomes of testing.
6. Implement and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.

Skill Requirements

1. Strong expertise in test planning methodologies and tools.
2. Proficient in android testing techniques and tools.
3. In-depth knowledge of software testing principles and practices.
4. Experience in creating test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams.
7. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
8. Attention to detail and a critical thinker to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.

Other Requirements

1.ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification is preferred.
