Test Lead - System Testing (Storage)

Job Summary

JD FOR FIRMWARE TEST ENGINEER  

Test Plans to do test execution and report bugs for the below test areas.

1. Test units and test environment build-up.

2. Execute related Test cases, fill the test result in the test tool, on time deliver test progress on.

3. Submit defects in the Lenovo bug system, issue status tracing and verification.

4. Participate in the defect discussion with the developer owner and provide the necessary support to clarify the defect with the developer defect owner.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Have more than 4 years of experience in server testing.

1. Familiar with server hardware frameworks such as CPU, Memory, BIOS/UEFI, BMC, PSU, MB, etc.

2. Familiar with Server BIOS/UEFI validation.

3. Familiar with BMC testing, such as Redfish, PLDM, UEFI, and IPMI.

4.  Familiar with tier 1 server OSes like Windows server, RHEL/SUSE, and VMware.

6. Good communication in both verbal and written English and teamwork player.

7. Understand the validation process and methodology.

8. Ability to set up test environment, and service servers like PXE, and DHCP according to test requirements

Skill Requirements

Test Areas:

1) uEFI / BIOS – POST screen/Setup page/Function key/FW Recovery/PXE/Secure boot/Boot order/Boot mode/date time…etc

2) BMC – Inventory/Alerting/System monitoring/FW update/Watchdog/Remote console/Call home/Sensor/Redfish/CLI/IPMI/SNMP…etc

3) SMM – Chassis status/Node status/Alerting/Power capping/PSU redundancy/FW update/Network setting…etc
