Test Lead - System Testing (Storage)

Job Summary

The Test Lead for System Testing in Storage is pivotal in ensuring the quality and performance of storage systems through effective testing strategies. This role involves planning, deploying, and managing comprehensive testing efforts while collaborating with various stakeholders to meet both client and internal quality standards. The Test Lead will drive automation initiatives, mentor QA engineers, and ensure that the testing environment is optimized for successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Participate In Functional And Technical Discussions Using Vmware And Linux To Understand Design Specifications And Highlight Performance Concerns. Prepare Automated Test Scripts And Maintain A Comprehensive Test Case Suite To Ensure The Testing Environments Are Up To Date.
2. Develop And Continuously Improve Automated Tests Leveraging System Testing Tools As New System Features And Enhancements Are Introduced. Create Detailed Work Plans, Monitor Progress, And Track The Schedule To Guarantee Timely Delivery In Accordance With Quality Standards.
3. Design And Implement A Reusable And Scalable Test Automation Framework. Develop Test Strategies And Plans, Maintain Test Data Integrity, And Submit Status Reports To Minimize Project Exposure And Risks While Addressing Any Escalations.
4. Guide And Mentor Qa Engineers In Utilizing The Testing Framework Effectively, Enhancing Their Technical Capabilities, And Improving Overall Productivity Within The Team.

Skill Requirements

1. Strong Understanding Of System Testing Methodologies, Particularly In Storage Solutions.
2. Proficiency In Automation Tools And Frameworks Relevant To System Testing.
3. Familiarity With Vmware, Linux, And Windows Environments.
4. Experience With Test Case Management And Defect Tracking Tools.
5. Good Knowledge Of Performance Testing And Validation Practices.

Other Requirements

1. Optional But Valuable Certifications: Istqb Certified Tester, Certified Software Test Engineer (Cste), Or Relevant Vendor Certifications In Storage Technologies.
