Job Summary

To plan, deploy and manage the testing effort/work plans for the project [module] to meet the client /internal requirements as per the quality standards prescribed.

Key Responsibilities

1. To participate in functional as well as technical discussions with the client /team to understand functional /design specifications ,highlight performance concerns, inconsistencies ,prepare automated test scripts,maintain test case suite,ensure the appropriate test environments and infrastructures are in place/kept upto date.
2. To develop and continuously improve automated tests as new system features/ enhancements are developed and accordingly create work plans| monitor and track the work schedule for on time delivery as per the defined quality standards.
3. To create reusable /scalable test automation framework, develop test strategies/plans, maintain test data and to submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
4. To develop/guide and mentor QA engineers in the use of the testing framework , enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Framework Development

Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) for web and XCUItest (Swift) for iOS apps.
Implement page-object and modular design patterns for maintainability.

Test Automation

Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI, API, and mobile applications.
Ensure coverage for smoke, regression, and end-to-end scenarios.

CI/CD Integration

Integrate automation suites into pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Enable parallel execution and generate detailed reports.

Quality Practices

Collaborate with developers and QA leads to define test strategies.
Perform code reviews and enforce best practices for automation.

Defect Analysis

Analyze failures, debug issues, and provide clear defect reports with logs and screenshots.

 

Must-Have Skills

Strong coding skills in TypeScript/JavaScript for Playwright and Swift for XCUItest.
Hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation and XCUItest for iOS automation.
Familiarity with Appium for cross-platform mobile testing (optional but preferred).
Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum and SDLC processes.

Good-to-Have

Knowledge of API automation (REST Assured, Postman/Newman)

Experience Range

4–7 years in test automation, with at least 1–2 years in Playwright and iOS XCUItest."
