Job Summary

Customer is qualifying and expanding its product portfolio across multiple virtualization and cloud platforms as part of its infrastructure modernization strategy. The engagement involves deployment, validation, automation, and regression testing of their products across VMware alternatives and cloud-native environments.

Target platforms include:

  • Proxmox VE
  • Huawei Cloud FusionSphere
  • OpenStack
  • KVM
  • VMware ESXi (baseline/reference platform)
  • Additional private cloud and virtualization platforms as required

Key Responsibilities

Platform Qualification

  • Build greenfield environments on target virtualization and cloud platforms.
  • Deploy customer products and validate end-to-end functionality.
  • Configure compute, networking, storage, and virtualization resources.
  • Validate product interoperability across supported platforms.

Deployment Validation

  • Install and configure customer products on:
    • Proxmox
    • Huawei FusionSphere
    • OpenStack
    • KVM-based environments
  • Validate fresh deployments, upgrades, patches, and rollback scenarios.

Test Planning

  • Develop platform qualification strategies and detailed test plans.
  • Create comprehensive functional and non-functional test cases.
  • Define acceptance criteria for platform certification.

Automation

  • Develop automation suites for:
    • Environment provisioning
    • Product deployment
    • Configuration validation
    • Regression execution
  • Automate repetitive validation activities using Python and automation frameworks.

Regression Testing

  • Execute full regression cycles following platform qualification activities.
  • Validate stability, performance, scalability, and interoperability.
  • Identify platform-specific issues and work with engineering teams for resolution.

Cloud Validation

  • Validate:
    • VM lifecycle operations
    • Networking behavior
    • Storage integration
    • High Availability features
    • Cluster operations
    • Upgrade paths
    • Disaster recovery scenarios
    • Security configurations
