Job Summary

    • Create test plans for evaluation of engine performance (Execution will be done by Test operators)
    • Optimize calibration parameters on desk<looking at graphs>, bench/HIL, and vehicle referencing the result of the engine performance evaluation test
    • Consider/propose engine hardware specification (e.g. cylinder/piston shapes, injector spec improvement)

Key Responsibilities

  • Calibration for best engine performance (power, emission, durability etc.)
    • approx. 10,000 calibration parameters to optimize
    • Calibration to be executed on Simulink and on Chassis dynamometer, then to be verified on vehicle.

Skill Requirements

    • Experience of engine calibration - required (Gas engine calibration acceptable)
    • Understanding of the engine control logic (injection, ignition, exhaust systems etc.)
    • Japanese native preferred. But non-Japanese bilingual with high Japanese proficiency acceptable.

Higher listening/speaking skills required for technical discussion.

Reading/Writing Japanese – Emails/Reporting only.  

    • Tool - MATLAB Simulink experience required, Simulation/Calibration with GT-Power experience preferred
