Test Manager External Advisor - Enterprise Testing & TDM Advisory
We are seeking an experienced Test Manager External Advisor to lead the assessment and future-state definition of enterprise testing and Test Data Management capabilities. This role will provide strategic guidance on testing governance, organizational models, processes, standards, and test data operating frameworks required to improve testing effectiveness across a distributed application landscape.
The successful candidate will advise program leadership on establishing sustainable testing and test data management practices across SAP, Mainframe, and integrated enterprise environments
Key Responsibilities
- Assess existing testing and test data management practices, processes, and governance frameworks.
- Define future-state testing and TDM operating models.
- Advise on test organization structure, responsibilities, and governance mechanisms.
- Support establishment of enterprise testing standards and best practices.
- Review current testing approaches across application clusters and identify optimization opportunities.
- Define test data governance principles, ownership models, and management processes.
- Develop roadmap recommendations for future TDM capability implementation.
- Advise stakeholders on resource planning, communication, reporting, and governance structures.
- Provide strategic guidance on tool evaluation criteria and capability requirements.
Contribute to executive-level recommendations and transformation planning.
Skill Requirements
Must-Have Skills
- Extensive Test Management experience in large transformation programs.
- Experience establishing enterprise testing governance and operating models.
- Strong understanding of Test Data Management strategy and governance.
- Exposure to SAP and Mainframe testing environments.
- Experience defining testing standards, KPIs, and organizational structures.
- Strong leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Consulting and advisory engagement experience.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- ISTQB Advanced Test Manager, TMMi, or equivalent certification.
- Experience with Test Environment Management (TEM).
- Exposure to enterprise TDM platforms.
- Insurance or Financial Services sector experience.
- Experience in enterprise modernization initiatives.
Other Requirements
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of Testing and QA experience.
- Minimum 5 years of Test Management experience.
- Relevant testing certifications preferred.
