Job Summary

The Test Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of automotive software systems through comprehensive testing and validation processes. This position is responsible for analyzing business requirements to derive test strategies and managing the execution of testing deliverables. By leveraging expertise in automotive HIL testing and embedded systems, the Test Specialist ensures high standards of quality are met within stipulated timelines, ultimately contributing to the overall objectives of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design And Execute Comprehensive Test Plans And Test Cases For Automotive Software Modules Using Hil Testing Methodologies, Ensuring Thorough Coverage Of All Functionality And Performance Requirements.
2. Utilize Automation Tools And Frameworks, Such As Matlab/Simulink And Labview, To Increase Test Efficiency And Coverage Across Various Testing Types, Including Functional, Regression, Usability, And Api Testing.
3. Identify, Reproduce, And Document Software Defects In Accordance With Established Procedures, Utilizing Tools Like Jira And Testrail To Track Issues And Ensure Timely Resolution.
4. Proactively Partner With Developers To Analyze, Prioritize, And Verify Defect Resolutions, Participating In Test Reviews And Retrospectives To Drive Continuous Improvement In Testing Practices.
5. Stay Up-To-Date With The Latest Trends And Technologies In Automotive Testing And Contribute To The Creation And Maintenance Of Test Automation Frameworks And Libraries Using Tools Like Python And Robot Framework.

Skill Requirements

1. Expert Knowledge In Automotive Hil Testing Methodologies And Embedded Systems.
2. Proficient In Automation Testing Tools And Frameworks, Including Matlab/Simulink, Labview, And Robot Framework.
3. Strong Understanding Of Software Development Lifecycles And Testing Processes.
4. Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Identify And Resolve Defects Efficiently.
5. Familiarity With Defect Tracking And Test Management Tools Such As Jira And Testrail.

Other Requirements

1. Optional But Valuable Certifications Include Istqb Advanced Test Analyst And Certified Automotive Software Tester (Cast).
