Job Summary

The Test Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of embedded software systems by analyzing business requirements to derive comprehensive test strategies. This position is responsible for managing test deliverables across all testing phases, adhering to Enterprise business standards and quality metrics, while utilizing resources effectively to meet project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design And Execute Detailed Test Plans And Test Cases For Software Modules And Features In Compliance With Do 178B Standards, Ensuring Thorough Validation Of Safety-Critical Systems.
2. Implement And Utilize Automation Tools And Frameworks To Enhance Testing Efficiency And Coverage, Conducting Various Testing Types Such As Functional, Regression, Usability, And Api Testing.
3. Identify, Reproduce, And Document Software Defects According To Established Procedures, Ensuring Traceability And Adherence To Do 178B Documentation Requirements.
4. Collaborate Proactively With Development Teams To Analyze, Prioritize, And Verify Defect Resolutions And Actively Participate In Test Reviews To Foster Continuous Improvement And Share Best Practices.
5. Stay Informed On The Latest Trends And Technologies In Software Testing, Contributing To The Development And Maintenance Of Test Automation Frameworks And Libraries Aligned With Industry Standards.

Skill Requirements

1. Expert Knowledge Of Do 178B And Its Application In Embedded Software Testing.
2. Advanced Proficiency In C++ And Experience With Functional Testing Methodologies.
3. Strong Understanding Of Various Testing Types: Functional, Regression, Usability, And Api Testing.
4. Proficiency In Using Automation Tools And Frameworks To Optimize Testing Processes.

Other Requirements

1. Certifications Such As Certified Software Tester (Cste) Or Istqb Advanced Test Manager Are Recommended But Not Mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
