Job Summary

The Test Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of embedded software systems. This position involves analyzing business requirements to derive comprehensive test strategies and manage test deliverables across all phases of testing. The Test Specialist is responsible for leveraging advanced testing techniques and tools to meet enterprise standards and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design And Execute Comprehensive Test Plans And Test Cases For Embedded Software Modules Using Tools Like Testrail And Jira, Ensuring Alignment With Business Requirements And Quality Standards.
2. Utilize Automation Tools Such As Selenium And Robot Framework To Enhance Test Efficiency And Coverage Through Functional, Regression, Usability, And Api Testing, Ensuring Robust Software Performance.
3. Identify, Reproduce, And Document Software Defects Using Established Procedures In Systems Like Bugzilla And Jira, Providing Detailed Reports That Facilitate Swift Resolutions.
4. Proactively Partner With Developers And Stakeholders To Analyze, Prioritize, And Verify Defect Resolutions, Actively Participating In Test Reviews And Retrospectives To Drive Continuous Improvement And Share Best Practices.
5. Stay Abreast Of The Latest Testing Trends And Technologies, Contributing To The Creation And Maintenance Of Test Automation Frameworks And Libraries To Improve Overall Testing Efficiency.

Skill Requirements

1. Expert Knowledge Of Functional Testing Methodologies And Best Practices For Embedded Software.
2. Advanced Proficiency In Test Management Tools Such As Testrail And Defect Tracking Tools Like Jira And Bugzilla.
3. Strong Understanding Of Automation Testing Frameworks Like Selenium And Robot Framework.
4. Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.
5. Familiarity With Api Testing Tools Such As Postman Or Soapui.

Other Requirements

1. Certifications Such As Istqb Advanced Test Manager Or Certified Software Test Professional (Cstp) Are Optional But Valuable.
