Test Specialist - Functional Testing

Job Summary

Overall Project Management (planning, scheduling, resourcing) of Field testing of the newly launching home security device. Work with property management service for identifying short term and long term homes as per given specification
Co-ordination between cross functional teams, in case of any issues / changes and re-scheduling
Progress and Status Reporting to internal teams and stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall Project Management (planning, scheduling, resourcing)
  • Work with home rental service provider for identifying short term and long term homes as per given specification (initial joint sourcing with Amazon for few homes)
  • Checklist for coverage (as per home specification) and keep track for each house
  • Co-ordination between cross functional teams, in case of any issues / changes and re-scheduling
  • Progress tracking and Status Reporting to internal teams and stakeholders
  • Proactively Identify and manage risks
  • Driving continuous improvement, Apply best practices and knowledge

1. Design And Execute Comprehensive Test Plans

2. Test Report - coverage of real world scenarios

3. Identify, Reproduce, And Document Software Defects Adhering To Established Procedures, Tracking And Reporting Issues. 
4. Proactively Collaborate With Developers To Analyze, Prioritize, And Verify Defect Resolutions While Participating In Test Reviews To Drive Continuous Improvement And Share Best Practices.

Skill Requirements

1. Expert Proficiency in Testing of consumer device and The Ability To Design Effective Test Strategies. 
2. Excellent Skills In Defect Identification, Documentation, And Tracking Using Tools Like Jira Or Bugzilla. 
3. Proficient Understanding Of Software Development Life Cycle (Sdlc) And Quality Assurance Processes. 
4. Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Address Testing Challenges Effectively.

Other Requirements

1. Optional But Valuable Certifications: Istqb Certified Tester Advanced Level, Certified Agile Tester (Cat), Or Similar Testing Certifications Relevant To The Proficiency Level.
