Job Summary

The Test Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of networking solutions by analyzing business requirements to derive effective testing strategies. This role focuses on managing test deliverables across all phases while adhering to Enterprise business standards. The Test Specialist drives the testing process with high efficiency, ensuring timely delivery and optimal resource utilization, ultimately contributing to the organization's objectives in delivering robust networking products.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design And Execute Comprehensive Test Plans And Test Cases For L2/L3 Networking Protocols, Ensuring Thorough Coverage Of Functional Requirements And Performance Metrics.
2. Utilize Automation Tools And Frameworks, Such As Python And Selenium, To Augment Test Efficiency And Coverage, Performing A Range Of Testing Types Including Functional, Regression, Usability, And Api Testing Specific To Networking Applications.
3. Identify, Reproduce, And Document Software Defects In Networking Systems According To Established Procedures, Ensuring Clarity And Precision In Defect Reporting To Facilitate Swift Resolution.
4. Proactively Partner With Development Teams To Analyze, Prioritize, And Verify Defect Resolutions, Participating In Test Reviews To Promote Continuous Improvement And Sharing Of Best Practices In L2/L3 Protocol Testing.
5. Stay Up-To-Date With The Latest Testing Trends And Technologies In Networking, Contributing To The Creation And Maintenance Of Test Automation Frameworks And Libraries Tailored For L2/L3 Protocols.

Skill Requirements

1. Expert Understanding Of L2/L3 Networking Protocols And Testing Methodologies.
2. Advanced Proficiency In Test Automation Tools And Frameworks, Particularly For Networking Applications.
3. Strong Skills In Defect Management And Documentation Practices.
4. Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities, With A Focus On Collaboration And Continuous Improvement.

Other Requirements

1. Certifications Such As Certified Software Tester (Cste) And/Or Istqb Advanced Test Manager Are Optional But Valuable For This Position.
