Job Summary
We are seeking engineers for implementing and validating dynamic controls to keep computer systems managed from thermal and power perspective. The goal is to optimize system performance within various design limitations. Ideal candidate should have experience with control theory and PID tuning techniques, as well as a good understanding of basic computer architecture. Programming experience is good to have. Automation experience is a bonus preferably with PowerShell. Candidates should also have experience doing data analysis in Excel, familiar with various functions, and be able to clearly document their findings in PowerPoint.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist design, implement, and document specification for thermal power management features (experience in active/passive skin cooling, CPU cooling, battery, power supply energy management).2. Implement and optimize thermal management algorithms to provide system peak performance within system limitations (experience in target acoustics, touch temp, battery reliability limits, etc).3. Benchmark our algorithms and provide competitive comparisons to various options.4. Gather data for CPU characterization and studies.5. Characterize design from thermal and power perspective, calculate limitations for thermal and power, and collaborate with various mechanical, electrical, and software teams on design improvements.6. Exposure to stress tools and tests and execute studies on thermal and power (game studies, typical and worst-case workload scenario studies, thermal cooling distribution studies, etc.)7. Good to have Knowledge of Scripting for automation purpose.8. Ability to work with various stakeholders and provide regular status in Teams environment.9. Adequate skills in being able to present PowerPoint presentations in larger team settings.10. Must be able to prioritize work while maintaining focus on the deadlines and milestones.Qualification:M.Tech in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering with min 3 years of relevant background or BTech in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering with 5 years of relevant background.People from relevant industry (Computer PC hardware or Server) will be preferred."
