Digital Workspace Architect – Job Description Job Title: Digital Workspace Architect Job Summary: The Digital Workspace Architect is responsible for planning, designing, and implementing enterprise digital workplace solutions. This role focuses on modern workplace technologies, end-user computing, collaboration platforms, identity and access management, endpoint management, virtualization, and security to deliver a seamless employee experience. Key Responsibilities Lead technical due diligence during transition and transformation projects Assess the customer's current digital workplace environment and identify risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities. Identify the areas of AI inclusion and automation. Design and architect end-to-end digital workspace solutions for enterprise environments. Lead the implementation of modern workplace technologies such as Microsoft 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). Develop digital workplace strategies aligned with business objectives. Design endpoint management solutions using Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), or similar tools. Implement identity and access management solutions using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Single Sign-On (SSO), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Optimize collaboration platforms including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive. Define security architecture for endpoint devices and digital workspace services. Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve user productivity and security. Create architecture documentation, technical standards, and implementation roadmaps. Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, cloud, security, and application teams. Provide technical leadership during migrations, upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide architecture-level guidance. Required Skills Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Expertise in Microsoft Intune and endpoint management. Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows 365, VMware Horizon, or Citrix. Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, SSO, and MFA. Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and Exchange Online. Understanding of endpoint security, Zero Trust architecture, and compliance frameworks. Knowledge of Windows 11 administration and enterprise device management. Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure. Understanding of networking concepts including VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, and firewalls. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8–12+ years of IT infrastructure or workplace technology experience. 3–5+ years in a Digital Workspace Architect or Solution Architect role. Preferred Certifications Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate ITIL Foundation TOGAF (preferred) VMware VCP or Citrix certificat
Key Responsibilities
