Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to support mechanical construction completion and commissioning before transitioning to shift-based cooling, fire and plumbing operations. Construction execution and readiness for safe handover are the first responsibilities. Following formal system acceptance, the role will support or assume steady-state operations responsibilities where applicable.
Key Responsibilities
Construction and Installation Completion
- Support completion of cooling, HVAC, fire-protection, plumbing, drainage and water-treatment installations.
- Participate in walkdowns, inspections and closure of piping, equipment, insulation, access and labelling defects.
- Verify safe access, maintainability, valve identification, housekeeping and equipment protection.
- Support preparation of red-lines, test packs and completion records.
Pre-Commissioning and Start-Up
- Participate in pressure testing, flushing, cleaning, passivation, water-quality checks, balancing and equipment start-up.
- Support testing of CDUs, cooling loops, dry coolers, chillers, pumps, heat exchangers, ventilation and fire pumps.
- Verify sensors, instruments, valves, strainers, filters and control points.
- Track defects and incomplete prerequisites to closure.
IST and Operational Readiness
- Participate in functional tests, equipment-failure scenarios, cooling-loss tests, leak scenarios and restoration.
- Support development of SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, rounds, logs and emergency procedures.
- Complete operator training and competency validation.
- Accept phased systems only after evidence, punch items and documentation are complete.
Steady-State Operations
- After handover, operate and monitor cooling, HVAC, fire, plumbing and water systems on a 24x7 shift basis.
- Support preventive maintenance, alarm response, leak management and first-line fault resolution.
- Monitor temperature, pressure, flow, water quality and equipment condition.
- Maintain accurate rounds, logs, permits and shift handovers.
