Job Summary

ROLE SUMMARY Owns the Windows patching design across SG\'s Windows estate. Anchors SCCM operations and drives Phase 2 automation. Sister role to the Linux Automation Lead. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ■ Own the Windows patch lifecycle design: SCCM, WSUS, Intune (where applicable). ■ Maintain SCCM software-update groups, ADRs, distribution-point hygiene. ■ Drive automation patterns for non-managed Windows instances currently in application CI/CD pipelines. ■ Coordinate with the Active Directory, identity and endpoint teams. ■ Drive the Windows-side Phase 2 automation roadmap. ■ Mentor Windows patching engineers. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS ■ Deep SCCM / MECM expertise: software updates, deployment rings, compliance. ■ Strong Windows Server administration (2016 / 2019 / 2022). ■ PowerShell automation at scale. ■ Familiarity with Intune, Windows Update for Business, Azure Arc. PREFERRED / NICE TO HAVE ■ Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator (MD-102) or Azure equivalent. ■ Experience with PSWindowsUpdate, Desired State Configuration. ■ Active Directory hardening exposure. EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS ■ 10+ years operating enterprise Windows at scale. ■ Certifications: MD-102 or Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Expert. SOFT SKILLS ■ Pragmatic architect mindset. ■ Strong communicator with application teams. ■ Mentor to junior patching engineers.
