Job Summary
Windows & DC Consultant : The Infrastructure & Virtualization Engineer is responsible for managing and optimizing on prem and hybrid infrastructure built on Windows, VMware, Hyper V, and Azure Local platforms. The role focuses on availability, performance, automation, and operational excellence, supporting business critical workloads in a secure and resilient environment. • Manage and support on prem and hybrid infrastructure using Windows, VMware, Hyper V, and Azure Local • Administer VMware environments including ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, and vMotion • Manage Hyper V and Failover Clusters using Windows Admin Center and SCVMM • Deploy, operate, and maintain Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI) clusters • Perform virtual machine provisioning, resizing, migration, and decommissioning • Monitor and optimize ESXi host and VM performance • Manage cluster health, upgrades, and high availability configurations • Integrate on prem infrastructure with Azure services and hybrid solutions • Register and manage Azure Arc–enabled Azure Local clusters and servers • Monitor patch compliance, configuration, and governance through Azure • Administer and support Windows Server environments end to end • Perform server builds, upgrades, and operating system patching • Own patching and upgrades for ESXi, Azure Local OS, and cluster components • Perform firmware upgrades on Dell and HPE servers including BIOS and iDRAC/iLO • Plan and execute high risk and non standard patching with rollback strategies • Troubleshoot compute, storage, networking, cluster, and VM level issues • Develop and maintain PowerShell automation for VM operations and patch reporting • Support incident, change, and problem management while maintaining SOPs and documentation
