Job Summary

MS SQL DBA

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances. Create, manage, and administer SQL Server databases. Perform database backup, restore, disaster recovery, and high availability administration. Monitor database health, performance, CPU, memory, storage, blocking, and deadlocks. Analyze and optimize queries, indexes, execution plans, and database performance. Configure and maintain SQL Server Agent jobs. Manage database security, logins, users, roles, and permissions. Implement database auditing, encryption, and security best practices. Perform database migrations and upgrades. Create and maintain maintenance plans, index rebuild/reorganize jobs, and statistics updates. Support application teams with T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database troubleshooting. Develop and maintain SOPs, technical documentation, and recovery procedures. Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure performance tuning activities.

Skill Requirements

Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 Administration T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, Triggers Backup & Recovery Performance Tuning and Optimization SQL Server Agent Database Security & User Management Indexing and Query Optimization Always On Availability Groups / Clustering SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)
